Every W&S Construction project follows a structured process designed to eliminate surprises, keep you informed, and deliver a finished result that exceeds your expectations.
Free Consultation
We visit your home in person, walk the space with you, and listen to your vision. We discuss how you want to use the space, your style preferences, and your budget range. There is no cost and no obligation.
Most consultations take 30 to 60 minutes. We like to see the space in context, how it relates to the rest of your home, what structural considerations exist, and how the project will be used day-to-day. We also assess the condition of existing systems like plumbing, electrical, and HVAC that may be affected by the project.
Scope & Design
Based on your consultation, we develop a detailed scope of work showing exactly what will be done, what materials will be used, and how the finished project will look and function. You review and approve the scope before any work begins.
The scope phase is where the vision becomes a plan. We walk through material options, discuss design choices, and help you make informed decisions about where to invest and where to save. For larger projects, we coordinate with architects and designers to develop construction-ready plans.
Proposal & Contract
Once the scope is approved, we provide a detailed written proposal with line-item costs, materials specified, and a project timeline. You know exactly what you are getting and what it costs before we start.
We require a deposit to schedule your project and order materials. For larger projects, we structure progress payments tied to project milestones. The payment schedule is clearly outlined in the contract so there are no surprises.
Construction
Our experienced crew handles every phase of construction. We coordinate all trades, plumbing, electrical, drywall, tile, cabinetry, and finishing, so you have a single point of contact throughout the project.
We protect your home during construction, keep the work area clean, and communicate daily about progress and any decisions that need your input. We handle all permit coordination and inspections. Our goal is to make the construction phase as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Final Walkthrough
When the project is complete, we walk the finished work with you and review every detail. We explain any maintenance requirements and make sure you are completely satisfied before we consider the job done.
The final walkthrough is your opportunity to inspect every aspect of the work and note anything that needs attention. We address any items before closing out the project. Your satisfaction is what matters most.
